About the Role

We are supporting a fast-growing international energy and environmental markets platform in hiring an Environmental Commodities Trader – Benelux.

This is a front-office position with full ownership of the firm’s most established and commercially critical portfolio within the Benelux Guarantees of Origin market.

You will take over an existing book previously managed by one of the founders, ensuring continuity of client relationships while actively growing volumes and expanding the counterparty network.

This role offers direct P&L exposure, high responsibility from day one, and close mentorship from senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the Benelux Guarantees of Origin portfolio
• Execute spot and structured GO transactions across the Benelux market
• Maintain and deepen relationships with existing counterparties
• Expand wallet share within current clients
• Originate and onboard new GO counterparties
• Monitor pricing, liquidity, and regulatory developments
• Contribute directly to P&L growth through commercial initiative
• Collaborate with internal teams to support execution and strategy

Your Profile

• Around 7–8 years of total professional experience
• 3–5+ years in a sales trading or commercial role with clear P&L exposure
• Strong commercial instincts and client-facing confidence
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, outcome-driven environments
• Resilient, accountable, and hands-on mindset
• Strong phone presence and negotiation capability
• Motivated by ownership, performance, and continuous learning
